Tonight's test results (weirder than ever IMO):

Ammonia: Now closer to 0.25
Nitrate: 0
Nitrite: 0

Why is it "weirder than ever," do I say? Well, yesterday, our nitrites were around 0.25 -- reading that light purple color on the chart. Today, the reading is back to being the light aqua blue color, indicating 0...

I'm going to do a small WC to see if parameters come down a bit.

API Master Freshwater Kit, with two brand new bottles of ammonia and nitrate testing fluid...

Okay, so my water went from being crystal clear for these couple of weeks to somewhat cloudy and getting murkier; this may have been the bacterial bloom I was expecting, but I did a small water change last night and didn't take new readings yet.

Today's (7/2) readings (after a tiny water change last night; two buckets' worth):

Ammonia: Between 0 and 0.25; honestly, more like 0
NitrIte: 0
NitrAte: 0, on its way to 5.0

Today's (7/3) readings; someone please advise how I should move forward here...

Ammonia: Between 0 and 0.25ppm
Nitrite: STILL 0ppm
Nitrate: Somewhere between 0 and 5.0ppm (it's a dark yellow color when compared to the chart, but not quite the orange color of the second box on the chart)

We're still in the midst of a bacterial bloom, as well; water getting cloudier every day. Should I just hold off here on water changes and keep testing parameters?

Yes keep testing and no water changes, this will only slow it down.
Thanks Loach; I haven't touched anything.

Here are today's readings; we're at the exact same place, and I just don't get it....

Ammonia: About 0.25ppm
Nitrite: 0ppm
Nitrate: 0-5.0ppm (it's still a dark yellow color, not quite orange)
