how is the OP supposed to pick out a male oscar at 2"?

true but i was just stating the cichlids he should get a preferred sex

Get whatever you want while they're young and worry about picking specific fish as they age. You can't assume that a certain cichlid will get along with another one simply because one is a JD and the other is a GT. It doesn't work like that.

thanks everyone. I think thats a really good idea dent20, I think i might get a texas, oscar, JD and a red devil(could be risky) all 2" juvies and just see what happens, I might get lucky, or I might not but I can easily take any bullys back to my LFS if I need to..but I think getting them all young might increase the chance of them coexisting with a reasonable amount of peace but we'll see..I'll have an update in 9 months time haha..
