^That's fish is nuts! Have not had much free time lately so I haven't been checking DD. Gonna have to find the DD email and see what that blenny is called.

yeah, i have remembered the name and now will be waiting to see if he pops up again greech as he is quite a specimen.

i was really bummed that my tank wasn't cycled, but i learned the first thing i would need for this hobby is patience, so hopefully my tank can cycle and i can spot another 1 on there, but that is the first 1 i have ever seen there, so i guess they are pretty rare?
 
I have never seen or heard of that blenny before either but at $69 it probably isn't that rare. "Rare" (or rather fish that are harder to collect due to depth, etc) fish sell for several hundreds or sometimes thousands. Example: candy basslets, gem tangs, clarion angels. Usually DD gets fish in batches and sometimes that is due to when specimans can be collected so it will be interesting to see if another one pops up soon.

well, qt was started on 7-10 with dr tim and ammonia.

over 20 days in now and ammonia at .25 and nitrite at 5 PPM.

color me unimpressed with dr tim's.

again, not sure if i am the 1 maybe lacking with too little ceramic media, or maybe i should have put a whole bottle of it in instead of the minimum, but it just hasn't been a quick cycle as advertised for me.

again, this could be on me and not dr tim, as i might not have done enough.

regardless it will cycle and i will have a fish before 2012 i think :-)
