Sterbi Eggs finally!

Awesome, hope it works well for you :)

My sterbai started hatching this morning. I am very suprised that it took 5 days for them to hatch. So far 3 hatched! I am sure the others will be hatching soon. I am going to try feeding them baby brine in a few days. Has anyone ever feed sterbai baby brine? I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks for the positive feedback I will try to post pic's when they are a little bigger.

You can try BBS but I have heard from others that they may be too big for them at first. Not sure on that as I am just now trying to hatch out my first batch of albino aeneus. I raised 2 from a previous batch but I found them in my tank when they were a few days old and moved them to a grow out tank. I fed them the sinking shrimp pellets and they grew fast. They are in my 55 now and loving it!

How are the fry doing?

The 5-day hatching rate is not unusual, mine usually hatch in 4 at a temp of 80-82. Lower temps....eggs will take a bit longer to hatch.

My albino cory eggs hatched this morning! I counted 22 fry so far. This is my first intended hatch. LOL Took them 3 days to hatch in 78 degree water. How are your fry doing?

Here is 2 of my Sterbai babies. One is a new hatchling and the other is a 3 week old baby. see the size difference!! The are so tiny when they hatch and do seem to take ages to grow!! I feed min crushed flakes, micro wafers (which they love!) and Prawn balls. I just leave mine alone to grow as it can be like watching paint dry!!
