the first one is the coral, and the second one we were told is a sponge. There are a few other small things, which we can't get good pics of that, including what looks like it may be more of the coral, but smaller, more sponge, and something that looks like a tiny feather duster.

Any ID help on the coral and the "alleged" sponge would be appreciated - does the coral need to be fed?
The red looks a bit like a chili sponge but I'm only guessing here. Do you have a closer shot of the bottom one?
Nevermind, I just realized I could click on the photo for the original shot. I still can't tell what it is though, maybe one of the more experienced reefers will be along.
We added hermit crabs and snails last night. The crabs love shrimp pellets. Can anyone tell us the main difference between the FW API master kit and the one for SW?

The colors and cards are different. There may be a few tests that work for either but I ended up with a new kit for SW along with other individual kits.
How different is the color on the ammonia card? We got a sick green, which I tenatively read as about .50
