sting ray

Hmmmm I'm confussed, I live in the UK and I know of a few places where there are touch and feel pools full of sting rays, dont ask me what species they are or if they were debarbed but there was a pool I visited in Spain on holiday and it had about a hundred rays in there and you could touch them as they swam by your hand, infdact the rays seemed to like being touched and they moved pretty slow so you had plenty of chance to get your hand well away from the stinger (I'm porobably foolishly assuming they weren't trying to sting me). But the fact of the matter is there are plenty of such pools all over Europe why is this guys question that strange ?

not because it hasnt been done before but only becasue I see no need for this in a residential setting...When I want to pet my stingrays I do so, but I dont need a special pond setup for this plus also in the case that most people dont know/SHOULDNT debarb their own stingrays....Hell I didnt even know that was an option and Ive had rays about 2 years now. Stinging was my only real concern

They have little plastic cover thingy's here in Japan and they put that on them, plus they come in all sorts of colours so you can get one that match the fish. I dont like the idea of debarbing them personally.
