Does anyone know where you can get a tank to hold stingrays with demensions say 48" x 54" x 18"/24". I have seen similar tanks at pet stores but I can't find anything online. Any help here would be great.
Thanks

Custom:)

There is a community vendor on www.monsterfishkeepers.com that sells them, and I there is a few links that could explain how to build one.

There is a discussion about where to get custom tanks but I cant remember the name of it for the life of me.

Custom

I have been thinking about making one but I'm just worried that by the time im done I will have more invested in it than I could have bought one for. Acrylic would be fine but more exspensive, I dont know if anyone makes custom tanks out of glass but that why I'm here. Are there any websites regarding custom tanks that I could some how figure a ballpark on cost.
Thanks

Other than the links on MFK i'm not sure.

Have you considered a 300 gallon rubbermade stock tub? They look nice an are easily filtered.
(not to mention extremely economical)

Now you have sparked some Economical thought

I have been looking at some of those tanks and I definately like the prices. I have also been looking into filtration but not sure on what to choose. I think that Ehiem 2324 Heated Canister Filter would be ideal but if you have any other reccomendations I am all ears. I have no track record with stingray but I have been doing alot of research and have come to the conclusion that an external heater is the best way to go.
Thanks

I prefer wet/dry filters for large tanks. It's easy to adjust, clean, and maintain. You also get tons of gas transfer.

You also get more cow bell.....sorry I just had to say that.

LOL

anyway as rally advised custom is the way to go, anything out of the ordinary size you just can not get.
i always look for local builders with recommendations and have had no problems but not sure if thats possible in the US.
good luck
