How would this work for my 10 gallon:
3 Guppies (all male)
3 Platys
1 mystery snail
2 ottos

Thanks

I think it would work in theory, but you might end up with more platy fry than you want, since there isn't much to eat them. Just something to consider

Fine if you get all male platies or have a way to get rid of the babies.

Should I just do all guppies maybe 5 or 6 instead of the platies? Would another group of fish work with a group of guppies? ALso is there a better algae eater to get rather than the otos?

otos are about the best you can do for a 10g, any pleco would get too large. However otos can be a bit sensitive, and I wouldn't add them until the tank had been set up and clear of any problems for at least a couple of months. They do best if there is algae in the tank when they are introduced, sometimes they can be a bit slow to normal fish food. I personally would go all guppys some of them are so pretty!!
