ok i got a 125 with 2 emp 400's and a canister soon.......so so far its a green terror....prolly gonna trade my uro for a real red terror.... so i was also thinkin about a jack and a oscar, so a gt and a rt and a jack and a oscar and a pleco or some sort of cat like a lace or somthing......you think thats to much ? compatability issues? i think ill have enough filtration......id like to put more maybe that would kinda curb the aggression from the rt.......i know the rt is aggressive but so is a gt and jack...so i thought maybe they would be evenly matched....??

I think the mix would be fine, except for the red terror - he might take over the tank and herd everyone into a corner -

you dont think the aggression from the dempsey and green might keep it in check? i know the oscar would probably lose........so if i dump the rt what else might go......arrowana ? i suppose it would have to be semi aggressive.....id still like to get the rt....i have a uro but hes not that big...the green is pickin on him

In my own experience, green terrors are not nearly as aggressive as red terrors, and I think it would be a gamble. Arowanas will get too big for your tank to be happy. Maybe throw a couple of silver dollars in the tank to mix it up and add some activity. I know its tempting to add more, but when the JD, oscar, green terror plec and a few silver dollars grow out, they are going to look pretty impressive! You might be able to squeeze one more oscar in the mix, with good filtration and lots of water changes. My oscars always like to buddy up. Or, instead, maybe a mellower, mid-size pike. I agree about the Uaru - he will be toast if you don't get him out of there! Have fun!

i hope when you said uaro you mistyped....its a uro or a false red terror mayan cichlid.....but i dunno about silver dollars..but it might be cool to have a school of some sort of fish

I'm sorry..I thought YOU had mispelled Uaru! :o Oh, well...any way, sorry abot the confusion on the false red terror - Cichlasoma urophthalmus - duh! I should have known better!

I wouldn't put a red terror into a 125 with two other cichlids, you will find out quick that it won't work. I had a cintrellium (midas) for a while, half the size of my dempsey and the midas harrased it all the time. Midas are supposed to be calmer than the true Rt.

well thats why i was hesitating a bit and trying to get more info on it....i mean the rt i was gonna get is smaller then the green...so i dunno if that might put it in his place....or maybe it would just work till the rt got some size...but if im not putting a rt in the tank then i should have room for like 2 more cichlids.....maybe a pair of gt's or pair of oscars or some outher that would work with the same scheme of food and water chem......i think a eel like a tiretrack would be cool...but my sis would prolly freak out thinkin its a snake...i dunno anyone have any suggestions....im always lookin around the net and taking suggestions

Between 2 gt's or 2 oscars, I would go with the 2 oscars - 2 gt's together are more likely to go off on each other or on the rest of the tank

Well i dont actually have to have a pair of oscars....that would be tons of poop......anything else...? besides oscars are so common....their everywhere ...maybe something more unique......i should have pleanty of water turnover....
