i currently have 2 3inch oscars in my 50g tank. i just ordered a 150g tank. what other fish can i place in the tank?

i was thinking:

2 oscars
2 green terrors
2 ______(insert cichlid here) maybe JDs? firemouth? convict?
2 clown loaches
4 silver dollars
1 pike
1 Bichir
1 catfish

*i have a gar/aro pond, so maybe i can throw the bichir there when he gets too big?

lol. i dont really know what im doing. suggestions please :dance2:

Hi,

What species of bichir, pike and catfish do you have? It is very important we know the exact species you have otherwise it will be very difficult for us to help you where you really need help.

Might I suggest that you add at least 3 more clown loaches? Of course, you need to make sure they are big enough to avoid predation from your other fish especially the cichlids otherwise you cannot house them together with your other fish at all.

If you are looking for senegal or delhezi bichirs, they will work well in a 150g. Larger ones may attempt to eat most of your fish if you are not careful with what you choose.

^ Yep, what Lupin said.

I dont like big fish but sense I have a message on the top of my page saying I havent posted in several weeks....I'll agree with whatthe others said just to make that notice disappear.

i decided to push through with this tank without the pike and catfish. residents of my tank include two 3.5 inch oscars, one 5 inch ornate bichir and had two 3 inch clown loaches. the loaches were always inside a crevice in a big rock, i rarely saw them. i was planning to add 3 more. but last night, i saw the bichir sticking his head inside that crevice. i didn't mind him and thought maybe he was just curious. but this afternoon i saw one of my clown loaches floating without his head!

the bichir's probably the one responsible for this. or could it have been the oscars? all the other fish are doing fine, staying in their own respective territories. but i dont think ill be adding any more clown loaches.

or should i just take out the bichir? what bottom dweller could i replace him with?
