Hi, I'm in the planning stages for my 75 that is currently fishless cycling. My ideas so far are...

Maybe a school of Hockeystick Tetra
A school of Banded Bard
A school of Harlequin Rasbora
2 or so Thick Lip Gourami
A school of Panda Catfish
A school of SAE's
And possibly some Checkerboard Cichlids

Sound good? Any other ideas?

Also, I'm thinking about some live plants but I don't have a lot of light right now. How do fish do with 2 watts per gallon? Is that too bright for them and does it stress them? I'm thinking about going with lower light to keep my fish happy but can I grow plants then?

I know a few people that have up to 3 watts per gallon for live plants, so I'd assume that as long as you turn the light off or have it on a timer for 12 hours or something so the fish have time to sleep, it won't be an issue.

Okay, but that'd cost me more money.

Is anyone successfully growing plants with 1 watt or less per gallon?
