Hey all, the tank is finally cycled and has some current residents (3" Niger Trigger, 1" Huma Rectangle, 3 Silver Scats, 4" Lunare Wrasse). I would like to add a Tang, Angel, and Butterfly to this mix. If it would work I would like to get a Powder Blue or Achilles Tang, Potters Angel, and Saddleback Butterfly. All current residents go about and do their own business. No aggression whatsoever. I lover Emperor Angels but think they grow a bit too large for the tank. Am thinking of doing a Blue Girdled rather than a Potters though. Can I do a Potters and a Blue Girdled. As for the tangs I would prefer a Powder Blue. Any comments or opinions? In about 4 years (after I get out of college) I will be getting another large tank (125 or greater) so will have another large tank for another fish. Tell me your opinions. I would love to have my 209 stocked with:
Niger Trigger, Rectangular Huma, Lunare Wrasse, Saddleback Butterfly, Potters Angel, and Powder Blue Tang.
Tank has a 4 ft Wet/Dry Filter, 150 SeaClone protein Skimmer, and 100+ pounds of live rock. We have an adorable little Rusty Angel at our store right now. I am going to buy him one way or another (put in the 55 FOWLR or 209). Would a Potters and Rusty fight? Thanks and sorry for all the questions!

The saddleback is fine; it's tough and hardy enough to hold its own. However, I would be a little careful with the tangs, Bluegirdled, and Potter's angels - all of these are really fragile fish, and I don't know how peaceful this tank will be once the triggers put on some size. The bluegirdled gets a little big as well. I think you could get a pair of dwarf angels to coexist in this big of a tank, but I would stick with tougher species. As for the tang, could you go with an Atlantic blue or Hepatus tang instead? Either would be much tougher than the PB or Achilles.

Somehow I knew you would come through Boogie! Thanks. I don't really like the Coral Beauty Angels but do like the Flames and Bicolors. Bicolors are kinda sensitive though aren't they? I am just looking for some fish that are active, personable, and colorful. Basically the only colors I have are Blue, Black, Cream, Green, and Silver. Need some more exciting. And for the record, Lunare Wrasses are extremely personable and my guy follows me wherever I go around the tank. He is recovering nicely from a customer that brought him to our store due to HLLE. Five dollars is a great deal when the fish starts showing normal colors! I had my doubts about the Achilles and PB. Can you suggest some better Angels (pygmy or adult) that would work better? I am open for suggestions. I will do more research on the other tangs (we have a baby Atlantic Blue at our store right now, don't really like the yellow juvie color). Thanks again.
