Hi i am just just about to set up a new community 33 gallon tank, planted with sand substrate and was looking for some suggestions on what you might put in it if it was yours?

Thanks

I only have a 10 gallon because of $$$ and space available in my current apartment, but if I had a 33 gallon, my first choice would be tiger barbs, I know that they are nippy, but I would get about 10 or 15 of them. and do a species only tank.

But that is just my opinion. I was actually going put Tiger Barbs into my 10 gallon, but was strongly opposed when I asked on this site. So just keep coming back here, and you will do fine.

If it was my 33 gallon tank, i'd put the rest of my convict fry. I have a new batch everymonth . ahhhh. lol
But anyhow if i was starting a new tank, i'd probably go with some cichlids from south america. i like keyholes, since they are the closest you can get to community fish with cichlids. um.. i might put an angel or 2 as the centerpiece.. tho i'd probably end up getting a bigger tank just so i can get more angels.
Are you looking for colorful fishes? or maybe one or two big fishes? It all depends on what you want. a planted tank? with fake or real plants? etc. tell us how it all goes.
