stocking advice for 33 gallon

H3D your are being to Harsh.... be nice... have some wine ;_)

enlighten me

5 Four inch extremely aggressive loaches
1 or 2 4-6" cichlids (or breeding pair :wall:)
6 tiger barbs (known for their aggression; especially in this small of a group)

All in a 36" x 12" tank. This sounds like a bad combination IMO.

:wtf: There are so many problems with this list I do not know where to begin.
It's weird that we seem to have the same mind.;) The moment I read this thread when it was posted, I had the same reaction as yours.

Ditto.

just for some added info im having it planted with real plants, and would like some colourful fish with a centrepiece.

Definitely tetras are my best bets along with some cories.;)
Trio of some a. cacatuoides "triple red"
Couple cardinals
Couple otos
Why only a couple? A 33 gallons can permit 15 or more cardinals along with more than just a couple otos IMO.

I think i am going to go for this, thanks for all the advice, if you see any problems with this set up please let me know.

2 x Honey Gourami

8 x Neon tetra

6 x Corys

4 x Guppies (1 male)

1 x Brisltenose catfish
