Ok - im getting two 20 gals, and as mentioned in another post, I plan on having one with 15 neon tetras, and 4 corys (not sure what kind yet).

I also have a 30 gal with an oranda, lionhead and a comet, and I have a 10 gal with two bettas.

Now what can I do with my other 20?? I was thinking 2 black moores, but Im thinking I want to try something completely different. Ideas???? :D

Guppies!!!

That's what i keep in my 20 gal. with 3 albino cories and an algae eater! They are so much fun to keep! They come in all different colors/spotted tails/cobra/colored bodies! And they have their babies live! usually around 30 every month! if you have males and females mixied 2-3 females per every male. They breed like rabits! but they can release 10-100 babies each month!

Nice suggestion, but guppies just dont have that spark for me. Im not sure why. Mabey i just haven't seen enough pics of em and whats out there, or mabey its that my grade 4 class traumatized me lol. Our class pets started turning into canables and eating each other because no one ever fed them :O Every day we had to take turns cleaning up which remenants would be on the counter beside the tank in the morning when we got to school - quit grose.

And my goodness - what would I do with 10 - 100 babies each month???

platies?
swordtails?
mollies?
platies swordtails and mollies?

Actually I think swordtails and one of the other would look sweet. Be prepared for lots of fry though unless you go all male. All females and they may allready be preggers.

Blue or gold Rams....gouramis.....shelldwellers(that would be cool !)....I'm guessing you want a tank that doesn't need alot of fussing...being a teacher and all, what time do you have for that...lol...(I work in a school)....

I think I would go with the shell dwellers if you can find them in your area..you could order some online, but that always ends up costing way more with shipping and all....but shell dwellers are quite fun to watch and very interesting. You could fit a good group of them in a 20....a couple of males and 5 or so females to start.

Here's a link to some info if your interested...

Oh you misunderstood me lol. I was a student in the grade 4 class. Not the teacher. Sorry bout that. :) But im a mom of 2 little ones and run a homedaycare. Same deal :p But fussing a little is ok ;) I fuss with my goldies all the time.

How many gouramis could I get for the 20?? I LOVE the kissing fishys!!

Lol...guess I did misunderstand.....still, daycare can be just as bad... ! ;)

I don't have ALOT of experience with gouramis...I just have two dwarf neons in a 29, but I know I could have more in there if I wanted to. I think the kissing gouramis get larger than the dwarfs, but I would think maybe 3 in a 20 would be ok...possibly more if you don't have anything else in with them. I would go with some type of cory for the bottom dweller....they're really good at keeping gravel tidy...always sifting through it and moving it around. A nice shoal of those would be interesting to watch as well.
