mmmmm.. it was just a shot in the dark, im not really considering anything more. one fish is fine with me... im going for a very invert-oriented tank.
LOL I messed up there, I meant a fire shrimp, scarlet shrimp, or coral banded shrimp.
she seems to be leaving everybody alone... shes a rather passive damsel. thats why I was considering trying another male blue damsel... if they're introduced young and raised together I would think they would be fine, and if they bond then territory is not an issue since they share the same territory.lol I would have asked the same question about the damsel. I actually had a damsel in my 10G for a while. That thing would attack my hermits and snails so I didn't chance a fish. I got tired of grumpy thing attacking everything in my tank (even my hand) so I took it back to the LFS. I then replaced it with a grumpy clownfish. Eh, I couldn't win. At least the clownfish provides me with entertainment when I watch her swim. They do a weird up and down butt wiggle.
I would go with cleaner shrimp. They are very interesting. Coral Banded Shrimp will prevent you from having other kinds of shrimp.
mmmmm.... do they not form pair bonds? I could've sworn reading somewhere they do....I'd not count on them bonding and behaving once they are adults.
Fire shrimp will be fine in your tank but the scarlet skunk cleaner will probably be more fun for you as they tend to interact with humans more, even cleaning your hand.
mmmm..... they do tend to do that, dont they?Damsels? I'd not count on it. Safer bet would be the one stressing the other one to death.
