Stocking Ideas for an Eclipse 3 Gallon

Anyone have any stocking ideas for a small eclipse 3 gallon?
It will be heated.

I was thinking a betta and something but not sure what I could add in that small tank. At the LFS I saw they had a small gourami and like 5 neon tetras. Had a few plants in it.

I plan on putting plants in as well and was thinking of using sand as a substrate.

I think just putting the betta in would fully stock a 3-gallon tank. That tank you saw at the LFS sounds like it is overstocked.

I think a cory or 2 and a few neon tetras would be pretty cool.
