Hi all, i've finally got my tank setup.

It is a 55 gallon I beleive and the dimensions are 48"x14"x20".

I already have a baby Bristlenose Plec in there, he is about 1" long and he will be staying.

I was thinking of adding:

2 Angelfish
3 Dwarf Gourami's (Most likeley Flame and Honey Varieties)
3 Cherry Barbs
1 Redtail Shark

Does anyone have any further ideas on this tank? And will all of these fish live happily together as I was also wondering if the Redtail Shark would harrass my Bristlenose Plec as I know Redtail's can be very terratorial and Bristlenose's are very timid.

I was also thinking of adding some swordtails but am unsure if they would be compatable with the other inhabitants.

Currently it does not have any plants but I am probably going to add a few plants in the near future, anyone have any ideas on some easy to grow plants that don't require too much attention? I have a twin tube light with 2 48watt globes which is on a timer running for 10 hours a day at the moment.

Any ideas or comments are always appreciated.

From what i've heard, cherry barbs and redtailed sharks are aggressive, so keeping them with gouramis and angelfish wouldn't be a good idea. Im not a Cherry Barb or Redtailed Shark, but I understand both of those are aggressive, correct me if im wrong.

I havent personally owned cherry barbs but I wouldnt trust them to not nip, and RTS's arent usually really aggressive with fish that dont have the same shape as the RTS. Just make sure and have lots of hiding spots, and things to block their line of sight...because the tank is long so they should be able to do ok, setup the right way.

Cherry's are one of the few barbs that *aren't* aggressive. They are a peaceful shoaling fish.

I would watch the angels though. They can be very nippy and may nip the gourami's feelers.
