Thank you all for your previous responses. I am down to this list:

7 danios
2 male platys
3 albino corys
6 tetras neon or black skirt
and a dwarf gourami.

How does this look? I have a 30 gal tank. Would these fish work well together? Would just one gourami be good or are more better? If more a better do I have room, or do I need to leave off the tetras? The zebras and platys are there already, so they stay on the list. Any other thoughts. You guys have really already helped so much. I bet this one looks better than the list that included a red tailed shark:) even if it is not quite right yet. Thanks again. Sherry

I would only keep a single gourami. When I have had two, one is mean to the other.

I'd also suggest not having the platys so that you can have a larger school of tetras. When I had 6 tetras, the only sometimes schooled together. Now that I have 16, their schooling behavior is really much more interesting.
