I have done some changes to my stocking list(40 gallon tank), I am trying to focus on small to medium sized fish. My idea is to get a medium sized fish, and let it be the centerpiece of the tank, then let the smaller fish fill in. Here's what I've been thinking, 2 tank raised percula clownfish,4 or 5 blue/green chromises(not reef chromises), 1 cleaner shrimp, 1 flame angel, 40 blue legged hermit crabs(I will have lots of extra shells) 15 turbo grazer snails, and maybe another couple of small invertebrates. And maybe a tomato clown? I have heard they can get aggressive. Is this overstocked? Will the tomato clown be okay? There is lots of liverock, and I also have a deep live sand bed.

You can't add different types of clowns. 2 of 1 species would be fine. For instance, 2 percs OR 2 tomatoe clowns. Never, ever mix clowns. It just wouldn't work.
Also, I think 40 hermits is going way overboard. Even with the extra shells, there will be cannibilisam. I myself don't care for hermits. I admit I do have 1 but he is a bulldozer.
Chromis should be added all at once but with an odd #. I had 3 chromis for yrs. and just 6 mo. ago I found 1 on the floor. He was harrassed enough that he finally jumped.
