:look:

I'm getting a 180 gal tank and I'm going to transfer my exciting fish over,
blue hippo tang, yellow tang, valenti puffer, 2 brown percula clowns, 5 b/g chromis, purple firefish.

I want to add a
Porcupine Puffer
Niger trgger
Impersator Angelfish or A Blue Gridled Angle
and a salfin tang
What are your opinions on these fish in the same tank together with the ones that I already have.

My kids really won't a moorish idol my LFS has one that is eating I'm just debating on getting it or not.

Not sure if they'd all get along but either way, I would add the yellow tang last. Mine harassed my Angel to no end. As far as having fish too large, the specific ones you want don't seem too bad. If you wanted something like the bluelined (Pseudobalistes fuscus), then that might be pushing it. :D

Forgot to add- the trigger may or could end up eating your chromis and possibly your clowns. That is...if he can catch them and his mood. Hehe.

Thanks for all your input I'm going to exclued the trigger and maybe get a smaller angle but I still leaning towards a P. puffer what are your thoughs.

This is a great forum site good advice Thanks

P.S. I might exclude the Porcupine Puffer and get the angle in eather case I'm excluding the trigger the more I read about them I feel that they are more trouble then I want to deal with.

Please note, I posted the question about reef after his initial post...

:o

It depends on what kind of trigger. Blue throat triggers and pinktail triggers are not that aggressive. Neither is the crosshatch or sargassum trigger. Instead of a moorish why don't you try a red sea bannerfish? Much easier to take care of. I have one I know.

aggressiveness comes with age when they get to about 8-12 inchs and about 2 years old they have a jeckel/hide switch. good luck though:)
believe me i worked at an aquarium store u have no idea how many triggers people try to drop off...i never took em either....cant ever sell em once they reach 6 inches unless they are a niger or clown trigger.
