Stocking my 180 gal tank

Gangstarfish

Thanks for the advice what size tank do you have? I've considered blue throat triggers, I'm still up in the air about the moorish my kids are bugging me about it but I do know about how hard they are to keep and do not want to buy one and then have it die.

moorish idols shouldt be kept in personally aquariums and should be kept as a school in nothing less that a 280 gallon...but thats just the popular notion anything is possible

Please note, I posted the question about reef after his initial post...

I'm sorry but what did you mean?
Thanks

After your initial post, and before your edit, I would have known reef or not...lol

WOW alot of info to take in LOL I'm just going to stay away from the triggers right know and I have to see about the other fish. I picked up my tank today but can't put it up right now the shipping Co. broke the stand and my LFS tried very hard to find one with no luck bummer. I have to wait until next week, that gives me more time to think weather to go with sump/fuge or just a wet/dry sump with skimmer.

Thanks

About the moorish idol I have read alot about these fish and I know that they are very hard to keep, but the one at my LFS is doing well eating and very active, but you think that they should be kept more then one? I know that alot of people say that they should be left out in the ocean and not in a tank.

Thanks

they only have recorded long term success in huge tanks in schools.
