i'm getting a new 30 gallon saltwater tank. any ideas how to stock it? i already have a general idea of what i want to put in it, but i want to hear what u guys think.

i really like predators (eels, lionfish, etc) but most won't fit into a 30gal. anybody know any that would fit?

:help:
I appreciate any help.
I am eternally in your debt

I'm not sure of your dimensions, but you might be able to get a ribbon eel. I'm no eel expert but I think some people said I could have had one in my 29gallon. Dwarf Lion Fish also stay small, they might have a different name but the ones I've seen were only 5" full size.

you could get a eel of some sort but make sure that you trade him back when he gets too big and make sure you have a lid so they don't get out becuase they climb alot. You could get a small volitans and trade it back aswell, they don't need alot of swimming space and the reccomended tank size is always when they are full size. I have one in a 4ft 50g and have had him for about 3 months. He hasn't grown too much but it depends on how much you feed him.

thanks for the help

i heard that ribbon eels are almost impossible to keep, that they won't eat and die within the month. is this true? has anyone kept one before?

I haven't kept one but alot of people have, I don't know anyone on this site. I think a mod might have one? I don't remember tho, they are picky and could starve if they aren't happy, but alot of animals are like that...
