Hi,

The following is my stocking plan. ( Tetra & Cory Tank )
I would appreciate any comment or suggestion. :welcome:

Current: Fully cycled with
2 male guppies, 2 Zebra Danios

Week 1: 3 Aeneus Corys
(Albino, Bronze or Green: based on the availability in LFS)

Week 2: 3 Panda, trilineatus or Julii Corys
(Based on availabilityin LFS)

Week 3: 3 Ottos

Week 4: 5 Neon Tetras
(I will take out 2 Zebra Danios, Don't know what to do with these danios.)

Week 5: 5 Black Neon Tetras

Final:
5 Neons, 5 Black Neons, 3 Ottos, 3 Aeneus Corys, 3 Panda Corys

Thank you!!!

Final:
5 Neons, 5 Black Neons, 3 Ottos, 3 Aeneus Corys, 3 Panda Corys

I would go with

-8 of each tetra OR 12 of one species (I prefer one large group)

-8-10 of one cory species (they really need their own groups and should be in a lager school than 3)

-3-4 otos...you would need to wait much longer than 3 weeks to add these. They need a mature tank with stable parameters.

EDIT: I assume you are returning the danios and guppies then.................

Personally, I'd bump the Corys up to 5 of each type. I'd probably add at least 2 Neons and 2 Black Neons too. I find them a lot more entertaining when they're in a bigger school. :)

I don't think it's necessary to go with one type of corys and/or one type of tetras, but it wouldn't hurt anything... I think it comes down to aesthetics in this case. Keep in mind that pandas are a fair bit smaller than aeneus corys, so if you went with only pandas you could bump up your tetra school(s) a little more. :)

I think you could easily double the number of all the fish you mentioned and not have any problems with water quality. They all do better in larger schools. You might consider getting just one larger school of one species of cories. And as far as the otos, wait 2 or 3 months,at least, before adding them.
I would go with:
12 neon
12 black neon
6 otos
10 panda cory

Right up the school of tetras. I have one neon tetra left out of 5 I think they either died and got eaten or just plain got eaten by my larger fish. Don't think I will be getting anymore I tried twice to build a school of them to no avail. The black neons are nice could increase the number on them and your cories as well. I have a 36g too I went with bigger fish check out my sig I find you see the bigger fish more they stand out more. Good luck with your stocking but I agree stock slowly especially if this is a newly cycled tank.

Thank you very much!!!!!

I will increase # for neon and black neon.
(7: Black Neon, 7: Neon)

-------

We have 10G guppy tank with
2 female sunrise guppies, 3 otos and 26 - 30 fryies in breeder box.

We do not want more fries. So, we have to keep two male guppies in 36G.

Three otos in 10G has been there 3+ months. They will be transferred to 36G. And 36G has been cycled with filter media / decors from 10G. Do I still wait for over two months before moving?

------

New final stock will be
2 male Guppies, 7 Neons, 7 Black Neons, 3 Ottos, 6 Panda Corys ( 5 trilineatus or Julii Corys)

Again, Thank you for your help!!!!! :dive2:
