alright lol i have been going through this many times but i just went to the pet store and i think i have a plan finally set up for my tank. I have 10g tank, w/ 1 serpae tetra, 1 unknown sm. tetra, and 2 Head and Tail light tetras. What do you guys think about this stocking plan. Get 2 Paleatus Corys, 1 more serpae tetra, and 2 more Head and Tail lights?? for a total of 7 tetras and 2 corys? THANKS FOR THE HELP GUYS!!! :thm:

well after reading threads about serpaes nipping fins alot im rethinking things....i think i might just take back the serpae and unidentified tetra and get 2 head & tails, and maybe 2 or 3 black tetras with the 2 corys? so again id have a total of 7 tetras and 2 paleatus corys

IMO black tetras can be just as nippy when kept in small tanks. What about just 6 of the head and tail lights and 2-3 corys? YOu'll get much better schooling in bigger groups

is a sandy bottom required to have these corys stay healthy. I read that they can easily damage their barbells on the bottom and that would cause them to not eat properly???

I think corys are supposed to be in a group of 6. I think having one larger school of tetra might be really good. I've also heard serpaes can be really aggressive. I wanted to get some but decided against it.
