Please help me...I have posted in other areas with no luck. I have a 46 gal with the following..2 blood parrots, 2 jack dempseys, 2 blue gouramis, and a pictus cat. Is this ok? I have problems with the blood parrots hiding. They are my favorite, I want to be able to watch them but all they do is hide. any suggestions?

the dempseys are probably being aggressive towards the blood parrots, and considering the size of the tank, there isn't too much territory to go around.

you will definitely have stocking issues(territory) as the dempseys at full size will need a larger tank for the pair. a single dempsey is usually kept in a 55 minimum tank.

I agree the 46 is probably not giving enough territory for them as it is.

Take the JDs or the BPs back.

Thanks everyone, I have temporarily moved the JDs to another tank until i find them a new home. I am currently looking at getting a new tank 75-100 gal. they will probably go in there. Thanks
