I have a 150L (thats 33G i think!) tank which i cycled using the fishless method, the tank cycled in two weeks due to filter media substrate & plants taken from my other established tank.

Then added my fish from my other tank

01 red tail black shark (approx 3.5 inches)
03 peppered corys (approx 2 inches ea)
03 Harliquins
03 Neon tetras
01 Male guppy

They were in there for about 2 weeks, testing every day and weekly 25% water changes.

Then added a 3.5 inch golden nugget plec, he has now been in there for 5 days, he is doing well, comes out in the evening eats a bit but i think he should be eating more, he seems to like cucumber, his belly is flat and not concaved and his eyes are not sunken.

so tank is fully cycled and is 5 weeks old with the above fish.

I want to add 03 yo yo loaches and possibly couple of more tetras.

So my question are:

  1. Will i be over stocked?
  2. Is it too soon for the yo yo loaches?

you need atleast 4 corys.

you need atleast 6 neons.

you need atleast 6 rasboras.

your guppy would like some company.

I would build on the groups you already have.

I would increase the harlequins, neons, and cories to at least five

I wouldn't get yoyos... better suited for a 55 gallon or bigger IMO. Plus your red tailed shark will HATE them.

I agree with Ruben. Subtract the shark, add to your groups, and maybe add a Gourami or an Angelfish(starting out small of course).

Do the corys have to be peppered corys or could i put in a different type of cory?

Its a shame i might have to remove the shark, he is my fav fish but if its going to cause problems then maybe i should.

I dont mind more neons and harlys, but no yo yos, i thought they would be ok in a 33G tank?

I thought anglefish would eat smaller fish like the neons, dont know where i heard this and i am probably completly wrong, i do like angle fish but did not consider them due to this.

You can.:)

Yoyos tend to reach 4-5 inches and at this size, they require a lot of swimming space. Kuhli loaches will be your better options.
