I currently have a 55 gallon with 12 neons, 5 zebra danio, 2 yo-yo loaches, 2 gold platys, 2 red sword tails, 2 plecos, and 1 dwarf guorami. My wife really wants either an African Dwarf Frog or some amano shrimp. Will either of them work in my community tank? Would I be overstocking if I added either?

Thanks in advance.

the yo-yo's are likely to be a problem for shrimp but I am not 100% certain. I would think an adf's would work out ok depending on the height of the tank. They don't do well in tall tanks as they are surface breathers. This woud be a perfect excuse to set up a small 10g tank for shrimp and frogs ;)

The shrimp (or snails for that matter) would fall prey to the loaches.
