Well, after a conversation with my LFS (their water is as hard and alkaline as mine - yay!), I want to try rams (blues or golds) in my new 60 gallon. Would two or three pairs be okay? Other occupants will be 4 angels, a school or two of tetras (emperors or lemons, probably), and maybe some cories.

I have 1 pair in my 29 gallon so 2 pairs in a 60 should be fine. They will set up their own territories in the tank and guard them. If you are planning on breeding them add a couple of small flower pots or large rocks that they can lay their eggs on.

with two pair of angels, and three pair of rams in a 60, I don't know if they will have enough room for the 'territories'
