Hi there,

I will be setting up my 65 gallon this weekend, and I am trying to work out a list of fish to put in with what I already have. I will transfer over 4 dojo's, 1 red tail black, and 2 giant danios. I know that I have to get at least 2 more giant danios.

The guy at the LFS said that I should get 4 each of gold, blue three spot, and pearl gouramis, a school of gold barbs, and a school of tiger barbs. I'm not too keen on the tigers, because of their nippiness, and I don't like tetras for the same reason. What else would suit? Would a herd of platys be ok in there? Or another type of barb? I am trying to get a variety of colors.

As for the 20G that I will be emptying out (the fish, not the water), he suggested a german blue ram, a dwarf gourami, some rasboras, platys, or female bettas.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

cycle the tank first, you would want to choose what types of fish, I personally reccomend gourami, I also reccoment pleco's but I would not get them untill your tank is established, I have 5 right now
