Hello Everyone, I am almost ready to stock my 29 gallon tank. I am fairly new at fish keeping and would appreciate any suggestions on stocking. My tank is quite colourful with diffenent plants and rocks, so I would like to add some nice colourful fish. I don't want really small fish like neons, I would prefer someting a little larger.

Any suggestion/comments would be greatly appreciated.

THANKS.

Hunter, we will first need to know your pH and hopefully GH, if you could tell us that that, we can give you good advice on what fish to get or families of fish to look at.

German rams, Kribensis, Rainbowfish, Convicts, Firemouths, Gouramis, Apistogramma, Shell dwellers, a pair of some africans may work... These are what came to mind with loads of colour and personality.

lots of choices- but depending on which you choose, it could limit the tank to just a species tank. If you want bigger showier fish but less of them, the smaller african cichlids (a pair or so) or smaller new worlds would be great... If you want to go for a show fish and a couple dither fish, the rams or apistos would be good. Or you could get a tank of shell dwellers- I hear they're great to watch as well...

look around on the profiles and see if any of them pique your interest.
