I live in a sub division, and i'm allways driving by this guys house. At night he keeps his blinds open on one window and i see this blue neon glow from tank lights. so the other day i was walking my baby around the block in his stroller and i passed by his house and was admiring his tank from the road. i could see all knds of corals. i see the guy outside and i go and talk to him. I start tellin him how im getting into the hobby, and about my tank and the problems i've been having with algae. he was giving me all kinds of advice and helping me out. he then ask's me if i want to go inside and see his tank. i go inside and he shows me the biggest tank ive seen in a house before. he had a 250 GALLON reef tank. it was covered in corals and filled with fish. it looked so clean i asked how many hermit crabs he had he said 400. he was tellin me how he can give me some frags from his corals. Basically he inspired me to spend my income tax check on a at least a 100 gallon tank. one thing people need to know before they start this hobby is that its like CRACK or HEROIN its addicting.

its a money pit. But its an awesome hobby.

Very Cool.. Most reef guys I have met are always willing to help out a new guy. Like SHK its a money pit because you can always find that new thing you just have to have and if you decide to get corals.. Then you just gotta have that one more coral :D. Good Luck.
