basically you want zero ammonia, zero nitrite, and no more than 20 nitrate. is your test kit the API liquid kit? that is the best one IMO. many here will agree.

API, my fish guy sells quality stuff .

Plus reading on here I was agreeing with the "kid" about wanting the liquid and not the strips.

Said I would come back next week with pics of the tank.

I need some razor blades and a wooden dow for my next trick.... bye bye algae on the glass .

why not try a mag float first? you don't run the risk of scratching the glass that way.
