No i just got them a few weeks ago
today they were acting the same so I took a flashlight to take a look at what the female was doing and sure enough, 2 small patches of eggs were stuck on the wall. I was very surprised. I have only had these fish for a couple of weeks and they allready have spawned! Im quite pleased with the eggs but the male is still a little skittish and doesnt seem to be protecting the eggs at all. Im afraid he might eat the fry when they hatch. Im seriously considering adding some dithers to get him back to his senses.
