I have a single Schwartz's cory (can't find more of them anywhere) and three peppered corys. Lately, that is for the last week or so, the Schwartz's cory has been swimming mid- and top-level in the tank all the time. I have no idea why. It doesn't look unwell, except that its fins are somewhat ragged. It has the ability to swim both to the top and to the bottom it just...doesn't.

Anyone know why it might do such a thing?

Hi,

Even if you have three other Cories keeping it company it might be lonely since it has none of its own kind. Just get some more Schwartz's next time you see them in stock.

BTW, what are your water params?

Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 10
pH - 8.5

I haven't been able to find any more of that kind lately. :(

Well, can you make a special order for them from one of the pet stores near you?

BTW, the ph is quite high for Cories, I would suugest you try to reduce it.

Happy Cory keeping!
