strange inhabitants...

ive just set up a 5g tank, and transferred some of my media from my 30g(fluval insert)

ive noticed there are little (2\3mm) "stringy " white creatures jerking about in the water????

any ideas what they are??

i havent seen them in my main tank...

They are little white worms often referred to as planaria. They feed on protein buildup in filters and the substrate. They can be a good indication of overfeeding, or a diet too high in protein.

other than to cut down on the amnt of feeding,
any other fixes???

any idea how long theyll"stick" around for??

Nematodes, more likely. Planaria only swim when they're swept off their perch.
