Hi there.

So I don't keep a saltwater tank, only fresh. But the office where I work has a small 12 gallon eclipse tank w/ live rock, two clown fish, a crab, a shrimp and a scallop in it.

But there is this weird thing in there that is creeping us out.

It looks kind of like a furry crab. It's greenish brown, and has claws. It kind of almost looks like some sort of furry bear claw. I tried to get a picture, but it didn't work.

Any help or ideas on this would be appreciated. I tried googling it, but I don't even know where to start.

Thanks!

Probably a small xanthid crab :). They will eventually get large enough to eat the other inhabitants, if it hasn't started already.
