Strange Serpae Tetra Behavior

My diamond tetras kind of "twitch" or vibrate a bit. Usually between quick dashes around the tank. Never thought of it as abnormal, as all the diamond tetras I have kept have done this.

I'm no expert but it sounds like a courtship dance to me. I think the vibrating one is the male trying to entice the females over to the plant for breeding. The addition of the plants may have brought this on because according to what I've read serpae do use plants for breeding.

Yeah, I agree with courtship display too. They're probably getting to that age, not that anything will likely come of it, but you never know...
