Strangest Fish??

ash - Nope, linked those from the AC Species Profile. I'll be getting a saddled bichir tomorrow, of which I will post a pic in the fish pic thread.

125Joe - Question posed at the start of this thread, "What are some of the strangest fish people ever owned?"!

hmmm.... I guess several people read this incorrectly (or overlooked this) because others posted simply "strange fish", not necessarily what they owned.... Not just Joe.... :p

whoops.... didn't mean for that to come off defensive.... ;) it's all good dolphin :D

now, about that fangfish ;) couldn't you upgrade the 20 just for him? ;)

The strangest fish I can think of is a Robin Fish. I Caught a few of these down at South Padre under the causeway. They have wings and feet like a bird and have a red tummy. The rest of the body looks like a dogfish (all slotchy brown) I would love to catch another any put it in a saltwater setup. I know what they eat... dead, stinky bait shrimp! LOL!

hehehe, they call them Seda Robin's up here S4lly.... weirdest things I've ever seen in real life too, I always thought they looked like frog-fish if there ever was such a thing..... I kinda thought of them like the "Sunnies of the Sea" because of how often we caught them, and how "anyone" could do it....

here's a pic:

I have not kept a really strange fish. but one that I would like to keep is an Ornate Bichir. They look really cool. I am new at the fish hobby so I think I will wait till I get one.:D
