Stress Coat vs. Prime

I've used both and didn't notice any difference in performance. I'm using Prime right now because it's so much cheaper, but IMO it smells awful. My tanks smell like Prime whenever I raise the canopy. I must be the only one who thinks so, because I've never heard anyone else complain about it.
 
My friend gave me 2 gallons of stress coat... Guess what I use.

Stress coat works fine as long as you don't use too much. You need to use the bare minimum.
 
Prime...cost effective.
 
when i first got my tank, my LFS gave me Stress Coat. after doing a bit of research online, i discovered that not a lot of ppl had good things to say about the LFS i went to so i found another where the guy had over 30 yrs experience and everyone had only good things to say about him. after i told him where i had gone before and what they had given me, he nearly picked up the phone and gave out to them himself coz according to him, stress coat does nothing! he suggested King British Safe Guard which is what im using now with no complaints, how convenient for the salesman i hear you say but after talking with him for well over half an hour, i got the distinct sense that he knew his stuff plus he backed up everything i had read online

unfortunatly, i know nothing about Prime but thought id stick my oar in RE: Stress Coat

Well get this... on the larger, I've heard they read "1 drop per gallon." I stick with 2 drops. Once, I accidentally poured my bucket in before conditioning it, and then I paniced and squished alot of Prime in there. :)
 
I like Prime better because I think it does a better job at detoxifying the nasties and is more cost effective.

9 bucks? I am jelaous. Seriously! I piad 18 bucks for my 473 mL I use Aqua Plus, it's a tap water conditioner it removes Chlorine and Chloramine, and neautralizes heavy metals and it's suppose to help protect and heal the coats. And my bottle also says Patented stress reducing formula lol wow what a mouthful. I find buying all this liquid crap confusing and expensive so I just buy Aqua Plus. Wanna knwo how pissed I was? I paid 18 fricken dollars and the next week it goes on sale for 11 dollars! :mad2: ANyways I discovered do not trust large chains do not even get me started on the sick, disease, dead fish sold at pet cetera they're ornaments are SOO expensive most of their crap is 44 dollars, now I have an LFS place now and there stuff is alot cheaper, but I don't know fo any other LFS place in my area so havn't been able to compare prices.. Stupid Large Chains, taking everybodys money! okay.. done my little rant!
