What is the reason that my anacharis is so long and the leaves are so widely spaced. It is growing at an alarming rate. My ludwigia is fine.
I guessing that this is a lack of light. I have about 1watt/gal. Also, there is no Nitrate detectible or ammonia, or nitrite. I don't have any algae problem now. Im guessing that the Nitrogen is limiting. I don't have any CO2 system either.
Is it possible that the growth rate of anacharis is so high that it needs more light and nutrient? Do you think that it would be a good idea just to switch to a slower growing plant. I don't like anacharis all that much so I won't miss it. I do like having low nitrates. Thats probably a good thing for the fish.
