getting some kuhli loaches for tank #2 this week will they also be ok in the cichlid tank or not if not is there anything else i can put in there just looking for a little something different in there any ideas?
I wouldn't put Kuhli's in a cichlid tank. Personally. In my experience they are more accustomed for a community tank. I don't mean a cichlid community either!
What are these mixed tetras you speak of? Also, do you have a shot of the tank?
I personally love longfin rosy barbs, they are very peaceful even with small fish, do a great job as scavengers as well. The males are red, the females are silver. Just a lil FYI.
well the kuhli's will be going in the community tank its going to be awfully full by the end of this week got a few more fish coming looking for ideas for the cichlid tank (not to sure what the tetras are)
they are all thrown in a tank and they bread like crazy then they sell them could have a bit of anything in them!!!
Nice tanks, did you build them yourself? They look as if they were home made, but well done never the less. I'd personally put some Angels, JR breeder size, in there. My only concern would really be the 10 guppies. But you have really not center piece fish.
Angels will get big in there and look great.
I'd start planting more in there as well. More plants, better aquatic life for fish!
sorry not looking for fish for that tank its already full
im looking for something else for the cichlid tank (the one with all the rocks)
just wondering if there is any bottom dwellers that will go in there with them
If by cichlid community, are you referring to your Lake Malawi cichlids? The answer is no. You cannot put your kuhlis with them. Your only option for bottom dwellers there would be a group of small synodontis catfish.
A pair of pearl gouramis is what I am thinking of at the moment. I'll have to post later if I can think of others. Pearls are by far very peaceful fish. Most commonly available gouramis can harass other tankmates.
