Hello,
I have been battling disease in my display tank. The fish are flashing. The first time I noticed this, I did a bunch of research and decided to treat my tank with Praziquantel. I used Praz-Tastic, a pure Praziquantel powder. The flashing totally stopped. I had to go out of town so I treated the tank for the minimum time (10 days). A couple weeks later, the flashing resumed so I again treated the tank with Praziquantel. This time, flashing reduced but did not stop. I just finished the treatment (maximum time, 14 days) and my fish are still flashing.
Flashing is the only sign of distress they show.
Help! I don't know what to do. There is nothing visible on the body or in the gills. None have died yet (thankfully) but I want to get them healthy so I can add fish from my QT before they outgrow it.
Should I start looking for an alternate disease to treat? Or is there another medication that can beat this?
Tank is cycled, ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 10.
