I picked up two nice looking Corydoras yesterday, I looked for more of this variety and will pickup a couple more to round out the shoal when they get some in a shipment.
Anyways, I can't settle on a positive ID

:?: IMO the first three are the most likely candidates, what do ya'll say :?
Their saddles are a nice golden/yellow with irredescent hues and some emerald behind the gills, spots seem to be vertical...
Much like C. delphax.
Check these species against mine at www.planetcatfish.com or elsewhere on the web.
C. ambiacus
C. delphax
C. leucomelas
C. melanistius
C. sp. (C103)

Look like False Julii to me, but I'm no expert.

Thanks, but definitely not False Julii aka C.trilineatus... Not even close

Boy just at first look I thought Corydoras melanistius

I did some hunting, and I would still have to go with the
melanistius

Thnx for the replies peeps...

I looked at C. melanistius many times and there were many inconsistencies, e.g. in melanistius the eye-stripe continues thru the eye, the saddle tapers towards the dorsal, the spots are much smaller/random, the tail isn't significantly spotted/barred...
Granted there are many variations within species, so I thought that melanistiusshould be on the list of possibles even tho I doubted it.

I'm leaning heavily towards delphax from my own observations and replies in other forums, but keep'em coming...

You know ... I didn't look DELPHAX up last night, but I can definately see why you are leaning this way. You're right about the spotting and the saddle especially. I think I may be converted here also ... hmm
