Stump-Out = Stump remover?

Green Light Stump Remover also works as a NitrAte_UP, from what I understand... I've bben having the Devil's Own Time trying to find Spectracide Stump Remover at my local WalMart, Home Depot and Lowe's.

Lowe's is where I got mine. There is also a product called Salt Petre that can be hard to find, but I found a bunch in a local pharmacy......it's 100% KNO3. Whiter, finer and dissolves quicker than the Spectracide. Some people have told me that their pharmacy order it for them.

I also had a hard time finding this stuff but I thought it was do to my location and the time of year -- there aren't all that many tree stumps in need of destroying here in sunny NYC, and I was looking in the winter, when a lot of garden space gets taken up with snow shovels down at the Depot.

Found Spectracide at Lowe's, have heard the GreenLight sauce is good, DJLen's saltpetre suggestion is a good one.

I searched all the chain drug stores for salt petre finally found it at a locally owned store. I was told that alot of stores dont carry it anymore because its used in making gun powder. Any how 14 bucks for a large jar that will last a very long time.

I've had a very hard time finding potassium nitrate in my area. There is nothing that even resembles stump remover over here, the hardware stores tells me I need a license to buy that stuff, and it's usually not available commercially. So I headed down to the pharmacy and asked for salt petre, the old lady there knows about the product, but it's been quite a few years since she's seen it around, she told me that it's not available anymore because you could make napalms with that sort of stuff. Then she looked through her computer and found a product that's pure KNO3, it's name is Potassium Nitrate so I bought a tub. It's pretty good stuff, pure white and very fine grained, it dissolves instantly.

So head down to your pharmacy and ask them to look through their product listing on their computers, should find something that would work for you.
