How do fish get Internal parasites? My green terror has them for the second time and I don’t know how she got them! I haven’t introduced new fish to the tank and I have a very strict cleaning schedule so my tank never looks green. Im treating the whole tank now because if one has it they all can get it. How do I avoid this problem? Thanks

What medicine did you use when your fish got it for the first time? What was your treatment schedule? What do you mean your tank never looks green?

I used jungle internal parasite guard. I did what the bottle said to do. Treat every other day up to 3 treatments and 25% wc inbetween treatments. The water never looks green sorry I wasnt clear.
What are the active ingredients of that med?

white film on glass

Im on treatment number 2 and I have noticed this white film on the sides of my tank! When I get up close they look like very small worms almost like larva (spell check)! What is this? Should I be alarmed? :eek3:

many internal parasites are ingested. either in fecal matter from the bottom of the tank or by consuming any intermediate hosts(inverts, feeders etc)

not all parasites are treatable with praziquantel or metronidazole..some are resistant to these meds.

The First time I treated her with this it cleared up after the 3 treatment and she has gone I want to say 4 mounths maybe more with out an outbreak. Before I posted this topic I went out and picked up some of the same meds and started treating her again. If it works how do I make sure she dosent get them again? The only thing I have noticed is her loss of appetite and the white to clear poop. She is still swimming around and defending her spot. Should I also be adding aquarium salt to the tank? If it dosent work what do you recommend for meds? Thanks for the help!
