So since last weeks water change my temperature has gone up to almost 90, which is way too high obviously and i didn't realize it until todays water change when i put my hand in and the water was incredibly warm, now my question is when i fill it up what temp shoud the water be my fish are doing well suprisingly and i don't want to stress them anymore so i wanna slowly decrease the heat of the water so should i put in water thats the same temp????

I had this happen to my mbuna tank a few months ago. I did a 25% water change every day and the water I added was about 2 degrees lower than the tank water, and that brought it down slowly so as not to shock the fish. None of them got sick or anything.

personaly i would wait to do the wc until the temp has dropped a little i would watch the tank and let the temp drop slowly until it reaches 82 or 80 then i would do the wc... but i am kinda new so my advice is prob wrong... it also depends on what type of fish you have... this happend to my molly and when i dropped the temp to 77, over the course of 3 days, she had 10 fry lol...
