stupid i know

alright so i know i should know this by now..but first question i got my first set of hair alge...its really short right now but my question is should i leave it or should i clean it?....and second ? is do diatoms ever get like hair alge?....one side of my rock is really really dark brown from diatoms and it looks "hairy" but it could be hair alge covered in diatoms...maybe ..yes grins i know i should know this lol(i know ur also gonna b first to answer me)

EDIT: this cycle will never finish..i know strips arent accurate but it gives me an idea if its going down at all

Could really do with pictures for us to be able to tell you what the algae is...from what you ahve said, it sounds like you have both diatoms ( brown ) and some hair algae ( green )..pictures speak a thousand words...

i tried to get a pic but my sidekick is horrible ...im getting a camera this weekend so that will b great....um its definately diatoms thats for sure...and im pretty sure i have hair alge....it looks like tiny thing blades of green hair...its just weird it came from no wehre...lol...but um like i asked if it is hair alge do u keep it or remove it or is their a point when should?
