Just want to verify that lights in a tropical fish tank, with no plants, are pretty much just for us humans to see the fish better right?

I just finished cycling my tank and am looking forward to buying fish this weekend. My brand new light, used about 15 minutes, is now broken and I'm sending it back and will be receiving a new one in a few days. Wanted to know if the fish will care that they don't have a light for a few days.

I really can't get fish during the week. Needs to be a weekend. I don't want to sit with my fishless cycled tank for another week.

A tank with just fish will do fine without a direct light source for a few days. remember they are still getting light from the windows and also from any room lights.

:iagree:

I have several tanks without lights, just whatever ambeint hits them.
