A buddy of mine and I are having a debate, a stupid one admitidly, about PC lighting and how the wattage is advertised, and what it really is!!

When they say a Dual PC bulb 2-65 Watt daylight, is that 65 watts per individual bulb? So in the case of a dual, that would mean that each individual bulb is 65 watts, and together (because they are side by side) they total 130 watts? Or is the whole thing (both bulbs of a dual) total 65 watts?

I am confused now. I believe that each individual bulb is 65 watts, and total output for a dual is 130?

What does everyone have to say about this? THanks,

If there's two 65w bulbs, then it's a total of 130w. Just like if there's two 250w MH bulbs over a tank, it's 500w and so on...

wait are you talking about two bulbs, seperate, with two sets of pins, or are you talking about the two tubes in a single pc bulb?
